Word Is…

A recent letter to AWRN:

Happy holidays to you and your staff.  I wanted to write you to say thanks to you for all that you are doing and trying to do.  In talking with other inmates, they are also thankful for what you are doing.

I just wanted to let you know what’s happening with me.  I’m working at a business [as part of work release].  I’m doing well on my job and I must say it is a happy, fun and pleasant atmosphere to work with the owner.  The family is awesome.  I am looking forward to my future at this business and to living in this city.  I am from another city in Alabama.  I must be honest, I really don’t have a lot and I have very little family support.  I have burned bridges with them.  They know and I know the life I have lived was not necessary.  With a little help I know I can make it.

AWRN’s response: Thank you too!  You are doing a great job and you can do anything you put your mind to.  We are all proud of you.  Keep up the great work!
